The Discovery Center was “Over the Rainbow” at its annual Wizard of Oz Carnival this year under the sponsorship of Weis Markets. Special thanks to Jennifer and her co-workers from Weis for organizing and cooking the Munchkin Luncheon and for providing goody bags to all of the munchkins! Thanks also to our many volunteers from NYSEG, Marathon High School, Blue Ridge High School, Susquehanna Valley High School, Vestal High School, and Johnson City High School who oversaw carnival games, did crafts and activities, and helped prepare for the event. Over 600 visitors followed the yellow brick road to Munchkinland and Emerald City and got to see Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and Cowardly Lion as well as Glinda and the Wicked Witch!
The Discovery Center will have extended hours 10AM-4PM on Monday, April 8, 2024.
Due to the weather, The Discovery Center is closed Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
