Abigail Glattman

Welcome Our New Intern, Abigail!

We are so pleased to have Abigail Glattman interning with us this semester! Abigail is a senior at Binghamton University. She chose to be a Human Development major and a Spanish minor as the curriculum for both aligned with her passions of learning new languages to be able to communicate with different people while also meeting new people, and helping others. Her post graduation plan is to attend law school next fall.

When the time came to decide on a site for her final semester internship, she looked for a place that would help improve the skills needed for law school as well as a place whose mission stood out to her. After researching The Discovery Center, the idea of encouraging education and skills beyond a traditional classroom setting using interactive measures fascinated her. When Abigail volunteered at Halloweekend at Ross Park, she found the environment to be warm, inviting, and inclusive, further prompting her to spend the spring semester with us.

I am so excited to have found a role at The Discovery Center that balances research for the improvement of the Museum with interactions with a diverse group of people within the community at the organization’s events!” – Abigail Glattman
