February 12, 2024 UPDATE: All of the candles have been assigned and you may pick up your paint and candle during Museum hours. Candles are due back to The Discovery Center by March 15, 2024 so they can be weatherproofed prior to installation. The flames will be lit on April 20, 2024!
Calling all artists, scouts, clubs, classrooms, and creative minds! We have 40 wooden birthday candles (48” x 6”), yearning for your artistic touch! Transform them into vibrant works of art that will illuminate our fence this year.
Here’s the process:
- Choose your colors from our color chart. (We’ll provide the paint!)
- Submit a drawing of your idea for approval.
- Pick up your candle and unleash your creativity!
- Return your painted candle by March 15, 2024, and see it become part of our birthday beacon!
