Calling all creative explorers ages 6-12! Join us for a fascinating workshop that celebrates the rich art traditions of Africa and its diaspora. Through hands-on activities and guided exploration, you’ll:

• Discover how art connects communities across continents, from ancient masks to contemporary murals.
• Unleash your inner artist by creating your own unique piece inspired by African symbols, patterns, and storytelling techniques.
• Share your story through art, just like our African brothers and sisters have done for generations.
• Learn from accomplished artist and author Kristen Nicole Mann, whose recent book brings this theme to life!
• Showcase your masterpiece in The Discovery Center’s February artwork exhibit – let your art shine!

Tickets are $22 for non-members and $14 for members which includes the workshop and admission to the museum.
