The Discovery Center childcare programs are committed to high quality practices and strive for continuous improvement to ensure that children receive the best possible experience while attending our programs. We are very proud to be a part of the QUALITYstarsNY program that helps early childhood programs assess and improve their practices.
QUALITYstarsNY is New York’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) for early childhood programs, providing support and resources to improve and sustain high quality across New York State. The Discovery Center receives training, mentoring visits as well as supplies, early childhood rating scale evaluations and funding to maintain and update our classrooms.
QUALITYstarsNY has recently been expanded to include services for after school childcare programs and The Discovery Center was one of six centers to be chosen to participate in the pilot program that will be used to help other programs improve their practices.
Due to the weather, The Discovery Center is closed Friday, November 22, 2024.
