We are thrilled to announce that our newest temporary exhibit, the Funky Beez Ice Cream Shoppe, is officially open and ready for visitors throughout Summer 2026. Sponsored by the beloved local Vestal ice cream shop, Funky Beez, this interactive exhibit has completely transformed our former “Power of Play” space into a vibrant, hands-on culinary wonderland.
What’s on the Menu?
This isn’t just an exhibit—it’s a fully immersive pretend-play experience. When your little ones step into the shop, they can:
- Don the Uniform: Put on an official Funky Beez apron and hat to get into character.
- Run the Shoppe: Take orders at the classic service counter, work the cash register, and manage the busy to-go window.
- Create Culinary Masterpieces: Using imaginative “ingredients,” kids can whip up custom milkshakes, construct towering hot fudge sundaes, and assemble classic banana splits.

Museum Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 10AM-3PM
- Saturday: 10AM-5PM
- Sunday: 12-5PM
