The Discovery Center Read-A-Thon

The Discovery Center will be hosting our first ever virtual Read-A-Thon on World Listening Day, Saturday, July 18. We’re challenging members of our community to demonstrate their love of reading through a day of reading children’s books out loud.

We will be broadcasting videos of dozens of volunteers reading out loud on our Facebook page and YouTube channel for approximately 12 hours of the day.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 for critically needed funds for The Discovery Center.

We Foster the Intellectual, Physical and Emotional Well-being of Children!

Play and learning flow together here in unique hands-on settings that are designed with imagination, research and attention to the needs and spirit of today’s learners.

Ours is a unique space which is designed carefully to reflect our concern that a balance of art, history, science and the humanities connect to provide the rudiments of a well-rounded individual. Our exhibits, our themes and our ambiance are community specific, yet we leave a wide margin for global discovery.
